Eastern Cape Premier Ms Noxolo Kiviet will on Wednesday, 14 August 2012 officially open a R250 000 new building to house the Masonwabe Educare Centre. The early childhood development centre which has been in operation since 2008 has had a torrid time finding adequate accommodation for the children. It moved from operating in a cottage kitchen at Lwandisa Primary School in Mdantsane to one of the classrooms at the school after the numbers grew.
But now with the help of Loaves and Fishes Network the centre will operate from its own new building which has a classroom, kitchen and a storeroom. The new building is in the school yard and will cater for the 32 children currently enrolled at the centre.
