Eastern Cape Premier, Ms Noxolo Kiviet, will on Wednesday, 23 March 2011 hand over aid in the form of beds and blankets to the distressed community of Dordrecht.
This follows an incident on 24 February 2011 when the wall of the Kloof Reserve Dam burst due to a severe storm and water dashed out to the nearby homes. Many family lost their belongings including beds and blankets during the incident. Premier Kiviet immediately despatched a team from her office to assess the situation.
The handover by Premier Kiviet will be on the 23 March 2011 at the Dordrecht Community Hall at 09h00.
