Eastern Cape Premier Ms Noxolo Kiviet will join over 300 people, mainly public servants, ordinary citizens, representatives of civil society organisations and business to commemorate the United Nations endorsed International Anti-Corruption Day in Bhisho.
The International Anti-Corruption Day is a tool to bring awareness on corruption to different communities. Every member of the community needs to realise that corruption is a serious crime that undermines social and economic development. On the day of the event, anti-corruption stakeholders in the province will debate and deliberate on issues of corruption. This platform will also afford members of society an opportunity to participate and add their voice on the fight against corruption.
Presentations on corruption by stakeholders such as, Special Investigating Unit, State Security Agency (NIA), Auditor-General, Public Protector and others will be made.
