Premier Mokgoro and churches to seek divine intervention for gang killings in Matlosana
Killings of young people as a result gang rivalry attacks in different areas of Matlosana Local Municipality, will take centre stage when Office of the Premier in collaboration with Moral Regeneration and churches will be hosting the Dr Kenneth Kaunda Prayer Service at Kanana Township in the Matlosana Local municipality.
North West Premier, Professor Job Tebogo Mokgoro will lead the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Prayer Service after launching the Good Green Deeds Programme in Mahikeng.
The Prayer Service, which was also held in three other districts in the province, will plead against the escalating deaths of young people through gang related attacks, mushrooming of gangs and the subsequent rising rivalry, escalating use of dangerous weapons, substance abuse and moral decay.
The Prayer Services are part of the provincial government’s effort with different sectors of the communities to address social ills and ensure moral renewal, peace, stability, unity and reconciliation in the province
The Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Prayer will be held as follows:
