Premier Cassel Mathale leads a trade mission to Italy

The Premier of Limpopo, Cassel Mathale will lead a government delegation on an outward mission to Italy from 25 June to 3 July 2011. The purpose of the mission is to attract foreign investments into the province through the establishment of trade and economic relations with Italy.

The mission will concentrate on investment opportunities in Limpopo to Italian business people while strengthening existing economic relations during the Italian Group for Global Partnership investor conference. It also seeks to explore skills development opportunities and strengthen people to people relations. During the mission the delegation will also explore ways of developing Small Medium and Micro Enterprises with the help of Italy.

Amongst other issues that will be discussed during the visit include, the establishment of a Food Park by Italian Industrial Association as well as an Action Plan for implementation of the twining agreement entered into by the city of Reggio Emillia and the city of Polokwane.

The Premier will be joined by the MEC of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism, Pitsi Moloto, MEC of Agriculture, Dipuo Letsatsi-Duba, Capricorn District Municipality Executive Mayor, Lawrence Mapoulo and Polokwane Executive Mayor, Freddy Greaver.

MEC for Education Dickson Masemola has been appointed acting Premier for the duration of Premier Mathale’s visit to Italy.
