Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane will on Friday 19 March, accompany President Jacob Zuma when he undertakes a return visit to Madelakufa informal settlement in Tembisa. The president and the premier will be joined by a team of ministers and members of the Gauteng Executive Council. The president paid an unannounced visit to the Ekurhuleni area in November last year and residents in the area brought a number of issues to his attention.
These included unemployment, lack of housing, lack of clean water, flooding during rainy seasons, lack of electricity, need for a clinic and need for improved services at the local police station.
The visit to Madelakufa forms of the President's three week service delivery monitoring and evaluation visits to a number of areas.
