Parliament will host a Special Joint Sitting of the National Assembly (NA) and the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) to congratulate Team South Africa for its performance at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.
On behalf of Parliament, the Presiding Officers, NA Speaker Max Sisulu and NCOP Chairperson Mninwa Mahlangu will congratulate and acknowledge the role the SA Paralympic Team played in nation building through their excellence in international sporting activities.
The Team’s performance was tremendous as they brought home 29 medals (8 Gold, 12 Silver and 9 Bronze).
Members of Team South Africa will attend the Joint Sitting.
