* Overview of higher education and training in the province
* Overview of Further Education and Training Colleges in the province
* Challenges in Further Education and Training (college sector)
* Analysis of literacy and illiteracy rate in Giyani
* Skills development strategy
* Questions for clarity/discussion by the Portfolio Committee

Time: 11h30 to 12h30: Site visit of the district office of the provincial Department of Education and former Giyani College of Education by the Provincial Department of Education, Department of Higher Education and Training and the Portfolio Committee.

Time: 12h30 to 13h30: Lunch

Time: 14h00 to 17h00: Site visit to the Letaba FET College

Organisation and speaker: Provincial Department of Education,

Mopani FET College

Presentation on the following:
Overview of Letaba FET College with special focus on:
* Enrolment rate and throughput
* Programmes offered
* Spending of the recapitalisation funding since 2006
* Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) involvement
* Student support services
* Provision of the FET bursary scheme
* Challenges and successes of the college
* Skills development strategy for the province
