Opening of upgraded clinic and Ministerial Health Campaign

The MEC for Health in Northern Cape province, Mr Mxolisi Sokatsha, would like to take this opportunity to invite all to the opening of the upgraded Hopetown clinic and the continuation of the Ministerial Health Campaign in Hopetown in the Pixley-Ka-Seme District on 11 March 2011.

This campaign aims to encourage positive action of taking responsibility for one’s health through action, through testing for HIV, TB screening, community interaction/dialogue, door-to-door visit and health walks. During this event health services will be provided both on site and referrals to facilities for specialised services as well as giving communities the opportunity to raise their concerns and challenges with government leaders.

Furthermore, the opening of the newly upgraded Hopetown clinic done through a Public-Private Partnership will also be done.

Services to be rendered will be dental and eye clinics, blood pressure testing, sugar level testing, male and female condom distribution and TB screening and testing. All services are free of charge.

We call upon all Hopetown community members, to support the campaign and access the services to be rendered to ensure we build healthy communities.

Working together, we can do more!
