The Western Cape Minister of Health, Theuns Botha, and Western Cape Minister of Education, Donald Grant, will officially open the new Brooklyn Chest Hospital School on 28 October 2011.
The school has been providing schooling to children admitted to the hospital for long-term TB treatment since 1997. The new school has been renovated and equipped through private sector contributions facilitated by the South African Medical and Education Foundation.
