As part of the celebrations of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, 17 May 2011, the Minister of Communications, the Honourable Radhakrishna L Padayachie (Roy) will open and hand over two Cyber labs at rural schools in KwaZulu-Natal. The minister will be accompanied by the MEC for Education, Mr S Mchunu.
The theme advanced by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) for this year’s celebration is “Better life in rural communities with information communication technology (ICT).
