Oliphant to address Annual Labour Policy Conference

The challenges facing social dialogue in the year ahead, the Department of Labour’s five year strategic plan and its policy issues for 2011 are set to take a centre stage when Labour Minister, Nelisiwe Oliphant addresses the Annual Labour Policy Conference on Monday, 24 January 2011.

The conference, which will be held in Pretoria, will take place at a time when social dialogue partners have begun deliberating on the first policy challenge the review of labour legislation that started at NEDLAC last Thursday, 20 Jan.

The conference will be held under the auspices of the Organised Labour (comprising Cosatu, Fedusa and Nactu in Nedlac) to consider the strategic challenges in Nedlac and other social dialogue institutions.
