Official National Youth Day Commemoration to be held in Galeshewe, Kimberley

Members of the media are advised that Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver a keynote address at the National Youth Day Commemoration on 16 June 2014 under the theme, “Youth Moving South Africa Forward: Youth of South Africa History Makers & Legends of the Future. Together celebrating 20 Years of Democracy”.

The Deputy President will be accompanied by Minister of Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa, Minister in the Presidency, Jeff Radebe, Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Buti Manamela and National Youth Development Agency Executive Chairperson Yershen Pillay.

The year 2014 marks the 38th anniversary of the 1976 youth uprising and 20 years of democracy.
