The Official Memorial Service of the late former Minister of Education and Water Affairs, Professor Kader Asmal will take place on Thursday, the 30th of June 2011 at the Cape Town City Hall in Cape Town at 11h00.
The memorial which will be address by the Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa, Kgalema Motlanthe is expected to be attended by government representatives, members of parliament, members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders and the public.
Mourners who wish to attend the memorial are requested to take their seats 15 minutes before the event starts.
Members of the public who wish to send message of condolences to the Asmal family are advised that condolence books have been placed at the Union Buildings in Pretoria, Tuynhuys and the Asmal home in Cape and also at our foreign mission in Dublin in Ireland and Trafalgar Square in London.
