North West Premier Mme Thandi Modise is to respond to the Debate on the State of the Province during a sitting of the North West Provincial Legislature to be held as from 10h00 tomorrow, Thursday 23 February 2012 in Mahikeng.
Premier Modise’s speech that also marked the opening of the Provincial legislature assured communities that her administration is working towards improved quality education, long and healthy life for all people, safety and security for all, economic growth that translates into work and improved living standards; vibrant, equal and a responsible, accountable, efficient and effective local government. The speech was debated on Tuesday in the Provincial Legislature.
The roll-out of infrastructure development and programmes that support job creation that dominated the Premier’s speech was in response to President Jacob Zuma’s clarion call that government should as from this year and beyond be involved in the delivery of basic infrastructure.
