The centre will also offer therapeutic and development programmes for children. It will also offer holistic care and development of children with disabilities and chronic illnesses. The services at the centre are consistent with the Rights of Children as contained in Section 28 of Act 108 of 1996, Constitution of Republic of South

The department has, with the construction of this facility, undertaken to:

  • To promote the rights of children
  • To create awareness on the services rendered at the centre, which include the provision of alternative care to children.
  • Protect and nurture children by providing safe, healthy environment with a positive support.

The services to be rendered at this centre are earmarked to be of benefit to all children in the North West.
