North West Premier, Ms Thandi Modise, has convened an extended EXCO (provincial Cabinet) meeting on Thursday and Friday, 29 to 30 June 2011 specifically to focus on job creation and service delivery.
The meeting will be attended by all MECs, Mayors, Heads of Department, Municipal Managers, CEO’s of parastatals in the province. There will be focused attention on job creation initiative and a reflection on the New Growth Path, including challenges and progress made by the North West in creating jobs.
EXCO Lekgotla will also deliberate on the state of service delivery in the province. It will discuss concrete measures that will be implemented to improve the speed and quality of service delivery. Specific focus areas were be roads, water and sanitation, electricity and housing.
