National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) Executive Chairperson Andile Lungisa will join the Steering Committee for Youth Parliament led by Honourable MP Mduduzi Manana on a visit to Leeuwkop Correction Centre for Juveniles tomorrow, 24 June 2011.
The visit to Leeuwkop Centre is part of activities of Parliament to mark Youth Month and follows the Youth Parliament session that took place on 8 June 2011 under the theme; Youth Parliament is A Caring Parliament that advances Youth Development through Job Creation and Achieving Economic Freedom.
At Leeuwkop, the Committee and the NYDA Chairperson will spend time interacting with young prisoners, and going on a tour of the prison. The NYDA is aimed at promoting coordination in youth development matters and the promotion of youth access to business funding, skills development as well as access to information including career guidance.
