On 10 February 2010, the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) will sign a service level agreement with the CIPRO of South Africa. This partnership will formalise business relations between the two organisations and enhance accessibility of CIPRO products, particularly registration of businesses for young entrepreneurs that the NYDA serves.
This move will also ensure that the NYDA no longer pays service providers high fees for company registrations on behalf of young entrepreneurs under its business consultancy services voucher programme.
“One of the NYDA’s key performance areas is effective and efficient operations. The partnership with CIPRO will ensure that we live up to this promise as we will be saving costs in the undertaking of our business,” says Steven Ngubeni, NYDA Chief Executive Officer.
CIPRO’s Chief Executive Officer, Keith Sendwe agrees and states that: “While the National Youth Development Agency aims to create and promote development opportunities for the youth of the country, it is my belief that CIPRO, being the gateway to formal economic participation, could not have asked for a more appropriate partner to join forces with. Thus, the signing of the service level agreement symbolises a powerful strategic partnership”.
Moipone Molotsi, Director of Business Development Services at NYDA says: “All our branches nationwide will now be able to provide the CIPRO services directly, these include registering close corporation, cooperatives, and proprietary (PTY) Limited (LTD) businesses. While a client who requires registering their company will still contribute R200 to go towards registration costs with CIPRO and payment to an accountant, this partnership will ensure a quick turnaround time for our entrepreneurs.
“By combining the expertise of CIPRO with those of the NYDA, this partnership will contribute positively to the development and growth of small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMMEs) in our country. We would truly like to see even the smallest business idea flourish into a profitable enterprise and through CIPRO’s training of the NYDA officials they will be equipped to assist customers with the registration of their business entities,” Sendwe concludes.
