The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) would like to invite you to the Waterberg FET Youth Build project which is set to increase the technical, economic, and social capacity of young people in FET institutions in order to assist them to take responsibility for their own wellbeing and that of their families, and communities while at the same time engaging in tangible community services, such as building houses, maintaining roadways and water systems, and other improvements.
The project will be implemented in partnership with Waterberg FET College, Capricorn District Municipality and National Youth Development Agency and will meet the following specific objectives:
- Provide youth with workplace-based learning opportunities, practical experience, with a particular focus on construction opportunities within and outside the college.
- Enhance the socio-economic status of South Africa's young women and men within the FET institutions by better preparing them for placement into formal employment, self-employment and other opportunities; and
- Promote social cohesion through participation in community service activities.
