Information on the project:
The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) is funding the National Senior Certificate 2nd Chance Project which will afford 2,000 young people a second chance to complete their National Senior Certificate (Matric) in November 2011.
This project specifically targets young people who failed four or fewer subjects in the 2008 and 2009 matric exams. Through the project the NYDA offers free tuition, study material and support to learners to prepare them to pass the NSC examinations in 2011.
The NYDA will be launching the project at the 10 implementation centres in four provinces, that is, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng and Western Cape and has been endorsed by the national Department of Basic Education
