The National Planning Commission to interact with the Mpumalanga province on the diagnostic overview and elements of the vision statement

The National Planning Commission's (NPC) Chairperson and Minister in the Presidency, Trevor Manuel will, on 20July 2011, lead a team of Commissioners to the Mpumalanga province as part of the NPC’s programme to brief all nine provinces on the diagnostic overview which was released on 9 June 2011.

The aim of the visit is to brief the province on the elements of the draft vision statement and diagnostic overview, which were released 9 June and to report on progress made in developing the national vision and plan for South Africa in 2030.
 
The Minister will be accompanied by commissioners Jerry Vilakazi, Trueman Goba and Miriam Altman.

All nine provinces will be visited by a team of Commissioners and so far KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape provinces have been visited
