Limpopo Premier, Mr Cassel Mathale, will deliver the opening address at the National Planning Commission’s consultative drive to the province scheduled as follows:

The National Planning Commission will be conducting a consultative drive in the province on the National Development Plan (NDP). The NDP is a new development paradigm that seeks to involve stakeholders such as communities, youth, workers, the unemployed and business sector.
The purpose of this occasion is to, among others, develop the capabilities of individuals in the country and to create opportunities for all South Africans.
It also seeks to chart a new path for South Africa in a quest to eliminate poverty and reduce inequality by 2030.
The proposed plan is presented to society so that in can be improved through public criticism and dialogue. The plan will only achieve its objectives if it enjoys broad social support and is consensual in character. Government and society as a whole are responsible for improving and implementing the national development plan.
