The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) will host a media seminar to introduce the newly established National Consumer Commission (NCC). The Commission will lay the foundation for introducing a single comprehensive legal framework for protecting the rights of consumers in South Africa.

The seminar will briefly introduce the Commission, how it will function from the point of lodging a case and to its conclusion. Commissioner Mamodupi Mohlala will also be in attendance for interactions and to also outline her expectations of the commission.
The seminar will also focus on some pertinent questions pertaining to the Act.
