Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC Vusi Shongwe will hand over a mini-bus to Shane Mashaba at Greenway Woods Hotel White river on Tuesday, 3 July 2012 at 8h30.
Shane Mashaba was representing Mpumalanga province at the Brandhouse Number 1 Taxi Driver competition for 2012, where he won a Toyota Quantum mini-bus.
The winners for various categories were announced during a national finalist prize giving ceremony held in Boksburg on Thursday, 7 June 2012. Mashaba, who hails from Dwarsloop in Bushbuckridge, won in the category of the Best Taxi Driver Category as voted by the commuters.
The Quantum mini-bus that Mashaba won is sponsored by Toyota South Africa. The Number 1 Taxi Driver campaign seeks to enhance safe driving skills among taxi drivers drawn from all nine provinces.
