The Portfolio Committee on Higher Education and Training will tomorrow get a briefing from the Department of Higher Education and Training on the 2010 student enrolment in higher education and further education and training colleges.
The committee will also hear from the department about some of the challenges faced by students during the registration period and how it is helping students to access the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
Other Parliamentary Committees that will get briefings from departments include the Portfolio Committees on Sport and Recreation and Women, Youth, Children and People with Disabilities.
The Portfolio Committee on Sport and Recreation will get the South African Sport Confederation and Olympic Committee’s Beijing report and the sports body’s preparations for the 2012 London Olympics.
And finally, the Committee on Women, Youth, Children and People with Disabilities will look at the department’s annual report for 2008/09.
