Ministers Lindiwe Sisulu, Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma and Thoko Didiza brief media on Government’s response to drought - Postponed

The Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation, Hon. Lindiwe Sisulu, Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Hon. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, and Hon. Thoko Didiza, Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, will tomorrow, 22nd November 2019, address the media on the current drought gripping pockets of the country and how Government will be responding to it.

The country has been in the throes of a drought since 2014 with some recovery experienced in large parts. This has not completely turned around with some provinces still being impacted upon. The current high temperatures and late rains have worsened this situation thus some areas have been declared drought disaster areas.
