The Minister of Arts and Culture, Ms Lulu Xingwana invites members of the media to the opening of the Arab painting and handicrafts exhibition.
The exhibition is part of the Arab culture week which is a joint project of the South African government and member states of the Arab League. The programme presents an opportunity for people in South Africa to learn about the rich cultural heritage of the Arab world. Significantly, it is a milestone in the relations between the Republic of South Africa and the Arab world.
