Minister Xingwana addresses Women Economic Empowerment Conference in Durban

Minister for Women, Children and People with Disabilities, Ms Lulu Xingwana will
tomorrow Thursday, 10 August 2011 deliver an opening address at the two-day Women Economic Empowerment Conference at the ICC in Durban.

The conference brings together government and business leaders to discuss measures needed to enhance women participation in the economy. The conference will expand on this year’s theme for Women’s Month which: “Working together to enhance women’s opportunities for economic empowerment”.

Minister Xingwana is expected to outline the economic challenges facing women and measures that are being taken by government to increase women participation in the mainstream of the economy.
