Minister in the Presidency, Planning Commission, Mr Trevor Manuel will brief media on the launch of the Medium Term Strategic Framework (MTSF) under the theme "Together doing more and better".
The MTSF was approved by Cabinet on 1 July 2009; it outlines the country's development strategy to improve conditions of the life of South Africans over the next five years.
The framework also considers the development challenges facing South Africa, defines the priorities over the next five years and spells out the initiatives, programmes and targets that will be required to advance these policy priorities.
