Members of the media are invited to attend a media briefing where the Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies will announce the ‘second wave’ of designations under the amended Regulations to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA).
The briefing is planned as follows:

The amended regulations to the PPPFA were promulgated in June 2011 by the Minister of Finance, Mr Pravin Gordhan and became effective on 7 December 2011. The ‘first wave’ of designations which became effective as from December 2011 are: Power pylons, rolling stock, buses, canned vegetables, clothing, textiles, footwear and leather products and set top boxes.
