Minister of Tourism, Marthinus van Schalkwyk, invites you to the official opening of South African Tourism’s premier annual business tourism expo, Meetings Africa 2011. With improved technology, a “greener” focus and a more varied list of tourism products on offer, this year’s installment of Meetings Africa promises to be bigger, better and more exciting. Meetings Africa positions South Africa as the continent’s leading Business Tourism destination.
The Minister will briefly talk about:
- Insights into global Business Tourism trends and how South Africa is embracing these
- How the tourism industry is a key jobs driver for the South African government and key roles Business Tourism will play in helping to achieve this objective.
- The major bids and wins of events that SA will be hosting in 2011
- How the positive legacy of the World Cup has benefitted theSouth African tourism and business tourism industry
