National Department of Social Development Minister, Mrs Edna Molewa, will on Monday, 2 August 2010 give out wheelchairs to people living with disability in Mamelodi.
Last year November, Charity Faith Mission Church in Mamelodi organised a campaign for people living with disability wherein walking sticks and wheelchairs were given out by the church. Minister Edna Molewa then pledged to donate more wheelchairs for the needy.
The wheelchairs were donated by the Amalgamated Banks of South Africa (ABSA) with the request from the Minister of Social Development Mrs Edna Molewa. This is part of social responsibility programme which the president has emphasised on.
