The media briefing scheduled for 2 August 2011, at 13:30, at room 153 Union Building has been postponed until further notice.
The Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Lindiwe Sisulu and Deputy Minister, Thabang Makwetla accompanied by senior officials from the Departments of Treasury, Government Pension Fund and Military Veterans will on Tuesday, 2 August 2011 brief the media on progress in the implementation of the Non-Statutory Forces Pension (NSP) dispensation.
The Non-Statutory Forces Pension relates to the contribution of former members of Umkhonto Wesizwe and APLA to the Government Pension Fund and the amount they are paid when they retire from their employment in the SANDF and other Government Departments.
The briefing will take place as follows:
