The Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms Lindiwe Sisulu, will tomorrow, 14 May 2011, address the official launch of the South African Cape Corps Military Veterans Association (SACCMVA).
The SACCMVA is an association which represents former members of the Cape Corps disbanded by the South African Defence Force in 1992. Its members were deployed in Namibia and Angola during ‘bush war’.
In January this year, 2011, Minister Sisulu held a meeting with SACCMVA to among other things address its (SACCMVA) recognition as a military veterans association.
Tomorrow’s launch is expected to be attended by the President of the South African National Military Veterans Association, Mr Kebby Maphatsoe, and MKVA General Secretary, Ms Ayanda Dlodlo.
