Human Settlements Minister Tokyo Sexwale will host the Construction Industry breakfast on Thursday, 02 August 2012 at Sheraton Hotel in Pretoria.
The breakfast will provide a platform for construction role-players to discuss challenges facing the industry in delivering government housing programme, such as corruption, maladministration, incapacity, shoddy workmanship and Broad Based Economic Empowerment.
There will also be discussions around the minister’s call to the industry to start a debate in exploring the establishment of a state-owned construction company as an alternative in dealing with some of the challenges.
More than 120 construction industry delegates have been invited to the event.
