Minister Sexwale addresses a four-day African Union Housing Finance meeting

The Minister of Human Settlements, Tokyo Sexwale will address the opening of African Union Housing Finance (AUHF) Annual General Meeting to be held from 6 to 9 September 2011. The theme for this year’s conference is “Ingredients for Growth: African housing finance markets in 2011”.

The AUHF is a member based body of housing lenders with 33 members from 15 African countries.

The organisation is aimed at developing the institutional capacity of its members to be able to address housing finance challenges on the continent effectively; to secure sustainable resources to meet and implement the objectives and plans of the AUHF and to engage with their member institutions governments.

The conference will also be attended by a wide range of practitioners in housing finance development from across the continent, lenders, investors and developers.
