The Minister for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Mr Richard Baloyi, will on Thursday, 14 June 2012, visit the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality to assess progress with service delivery, governance matters and the on-going community protests.
The metro has recently experienced on-going community protests which have led to, among others, the destruction of state property.
The Minister accompanied by Eastern Cape MEC for CoGTA, Mr Mlibo Qoboshiyane, will meet Nelson Mandela Bay Metro executive mayor Mr Zanoxolo Wayile and other stakeholders to discuss plans to bring stability and enhancement of service delivery in the metro.
