Minister of Public Works, Thembelani 'Thulas' Nxesi, MP, addresses the CIDB National Stakeholder Forum on matters affecting the construction industry

Public Works Minister, Thulas Nxesi will host a meeting of construction industry stakeholders to discuss matters affecting the construction industry development on 4 July 2012.

Among key issues for discussion is progress achieved by the construction industry on contractor development, the impact of the Register of Contractors and the impending amendments to the Construction Industry Development Regulations 2004.

Tomorrow’s meeting will be attended by over ninety members, including MECs, parliamentarians and heads of industry associations. The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) National Stakeholder Forum comprises of construction industry bodies, associations, industry experts and public sector clients. It is constituted in terms of the CIDB Act 38 of 2000 and members are nominated through a public process.
