Minister in The Presidency Collins Chabane to deliver a keynote address at the Annual Conference of Association of Southern African Schools and Departments of Public Administration and Management (ASSADPAM)

Minister for Performance Monitoring, Evaluation and Administration in The Presidency, Collins Chabane, will deliver a keynote address at the Annual Conference of the Association of Southern African Schools and Departments of Public Administration and Management (ASSADPAM).

The conference which is held under the theme “Effective Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation for Good Governance” is expected to be attended by public administration and management academics, practitioners and postgraduate students.

The objective of the conference is to promote the theory and practice of Public Administration, Management and Governance nationally, regionally, continentally and globally.

The Department for Performance Monitoring and Evaluation has been in discussions with the Schools of Public Administration and Management with the view to develop capacity via mainstreaming monitoring and evaluation in the university curriculum so that we can produce more skilled people in this field. The Minister is expected to share with the conference the experiences in the implementation of monitoring and evaluation in government since 2009 and some of the lessons learnt.
