Minister of Police, Nathi Mthethwa to meet and address Stellenbosch and Paarl farmers

The Minister of Police, Nathi Mthethwa has been invited to engage and address the Stellenbosch and Paarl farmers to discuss amongst others, the issue of crime within these farming communities. The meeting is aimed at not only providing the Minister with the challenges and current crime trends in these areas, but will also look at finding solutions to this issue; which is, to reduce and deal a blow to this scourge of crime.

The Minister will utilise the occasion to provide an update on the ministry’s main objective with the rural safety plan, which is to respond to the safety and security needs of the rural communities within South Africa while also ensuring an effective and sustainable policing approach. Amongst the attendees to the meeting will be the Members of Parliament, Ms Annalize van Wyk and Johan Gelderblom, as well as local municipality officials.
