The Minister of Police, Nathi Mthethwa will deliver a keynote Public Lecture at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Westville Campus tomorrow on the theme: “The Big Debate – Crime and its impact on Business.” This will take form of a panel discussion featuring representatives from the University, Business and other sectors; and is open to the public.
The ministry welcomes such engagements as they enable us to derive valuable input and feedback as we formulate various policies in the fight against crime. More importantly they help in ensuring that we strengthen the ongoing relationships with different stakeholders, particularly researchers and academics. Most of these academics continue to support government initiatives, whether through interaction and exchanging views, in dealing a blow to the scourge of crime. The Minister is therefore looking forward to this important exchange of views.
