The Minister of Police, Nathi Mthethwa will attend the 79th Interpol General Assembly, to be held in Doha, Qatar from the 8 to 11 November 2010. The assembly brings together various police leaders from member states. It will focus, amongst other critical policing issues, sharing of information in dealing with transnational crimes, cross-border cooperation as well as ongoing review of previous Interpol resolutions.
During Minister Mthethwa’s absence the Minister of State Security, Dr Siyabonga Cwele will be the acting Minister of Police.
