Minister Plato to meet with Knysna and Sedgefield communities as part of oversight visit

On Friday, 24 February 2012, Dan Plato, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, as part of his oversight role, will be visiting South African Police Service (SAPS) offices in Knysna and Sedgefield and meeting with the community to discuss crime and safety concerns and ways to improve safety in the area.

Following a stakeholder meeting with community members, SAPS, neighbourhood watch, Community Policing Forum (CPF) and local councillors, Minister Plato will hand over equipment to the Sedgefield Neighbourhood Watch.
