The Minister of Science and Technology, Naledi Pandor, will officially open the 11th International Conference on Frontiers of Polymers and Advanced Materials (ICFPAM), at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
The opening ceremony will be held in the Sanlam Auditorium, Graduate Centre, University of Pretoria, on Sunday, 22 May 2011 at 16h00.
United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) declare 2011 as the International Year of Chemistry. The 11th ICFPAM forms an official part of the corresponding world-wide celebrations.
It is organised by a group of leading scientists and engineers from Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and the University of Pretoria.
The conference will bring together top-level academic and industrial representatives in the field of advanced materials and technologies from more than 30 different countries.
