Minister Pandor to deliver keynote address at the annual Mathematics Competition Prize Giving Ceremony, Baxter Theater, Rondebosch, Cape Town

The Minister of Science and Technology, Naledi Pandor will tomorrow, Wednesday, 5 August 2009, at 19h30, deliver a keynote address at the annual Mathematics Competition Prize Giving Ceremony at the Baxter Theater, Rondebosch in Cape Town.

Each year, around 20 000 learners participate nationally in this competition organised by the Star International Primary and High School in the Western Cape and in its sister schools in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal.

The aim of this competition is to instil love and appreciation for Mathematics amongst learners.

The event will see about 200 Star Mathematics Competition participants in the Western Cape and top 10 learners nationally, being awarded prizes of recognition.
