Minister Pandor to address the DAAD “African Excellence” Centres Annual Network meeting at University of Western Cape

The Minister of Science and Technology, Naledi Pandor, will this afternoon, 27 January 2011, at 16h00 address the opening ceremony of the Annual Network Meeting of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Centres of African Excellence, to be held at the University of the Western Cape’s School of Government Building (Ground Floor) in Cape Town.

This year’s “Annual Network Meeting of the DAAD Centres of African Excellence,” which starts today, 27 January and finishes on Sunday, 30 January 2011 at the South African-German Centre for Development Research and Criminal Justice, is a cooperation between the University of the Western Cape (UWC), and two German universities, e.g. the Ruhr-University Bochum (Development Research Division) as well as the Humboldt-University Berlin (Criminal Justice Division).

The opening ceremony of the network meeting will take place on 27 January 2011, from 16:00 to 19:30, at the University of the Western Cape, School of Government Building (Ground Floor), and will be followed by a press conference.
