The Minister of Higher Education and Training Dr Blade Nzimande, will on Thursday, (tomorrow), 5 May 2011, meet with deans of faculties within scares skills fields at Birchwood Hotel, in Boksburg.
The meeting serves to synergise the intervention of the department and the role of universities in producing graduates in scares skills. Due to the unprecedented economic growth, there has been a high demand in technical and professional occupations such as engineering, life and physical science, animal and human health and teacher education. Therefore, in line with the performance agreement between the Minister and the President in resolving skills shortage, it is necessary to engage with relevant academic faculties that will produce sufficient and qualified graduates.
