The Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande will on Thursday, 4 November at 17h00, deliver a keynote address at the launch of the new Rhodes University library, in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape.
The R85 million new library, will provide immense improved learning environment, greater support for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, and provide vastly superior access to and support for knowledge production and high quality graduates.
As part of the Infrastructure and efficiency fund grant from the ministry, the library represent the largest investment in Grahamstown and the Makana region.
In attendance there will be local and regional politicians, public and civil society leaders as well as sponsors who contributed to the completion of the library project.
