Minister Nzimande to address learners and the youth on post-school education and training options

Minister for Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande, will address hundreds of high school learners and out-of-school youth on Post-School Education and Training options available to them at the Asherville Campus of eThekwini Further Education and Training (FET) College in Durban on Sunday.

Minister Nzimande will be speaking under the broad theme of "Access to Further Education and Skills Development for the Youth" at the invitation of the KwaZulu-Natal provincial South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) and the South African Communist Party (SACP).

The Minister will particularly seek to broaden the high school learner’s and the out-of-school youth’s understanding of further education and training options that FET Colleges provide, their role within the context of South Africa’s growth path, particularly in relation to addressing the scarce skills challenges the country is faced with.
